Nod’s collective agreement in force at the moment, but the owners has decided to withdraw from it. Uncapped Oman season is the first step toward a strike, and this has created 2010-2011. Unless it’s, so we going to see the NFL strike next year.
This did knot’s come from nowhere. Possible strike roots in dissatisfaction with the owner’s side. They are dissatisfied with the current rookie pay scale. They want to scale that they could give rookies less lucrative contracts if they are found as expected additions to the team.
Under the current system, rookies are paid outrageous amounts of money even if they don’t live up to their hype. They are often very lucrative guaranteed contracts, even though they may not work as expected.
Owners also believe that players have an unfair slice of the profits. Currently, NFL players are entitled to 59.5% of total league revenue. This irks the owners, because they stress they have to bear the costs of stadiums, and they are doing this with reduced profits.
Owners are also the entire burden of disclosure and corporate growth – they are the drive to expand the league. Players have no public relations expenses and still get the lion share of their profits to these efforts.
However, it is unclear whether the agreement is probable. Result of the conflict will greatly affect the NFL, that’s for sure. Growing sport, who is trying to get more fans do not want to lockout. And the players, they won’t have to pay for a year if the strike is.
